H. Hod Kosman

The Kosman Banking Family goes back to the early 1900's, when Hod Kosman's Grandfather and Uncle started Scottsbluff National Bank in 1909. Kosman began his banking experience in 1974, starting at Scottsbluff National Bank-Scottsbluff, NE., and became President of the Nebraska state-wide FirsTier Bank-Scottsbluff (previously Scottsbluff National Bank) in 1989 through 1995. In 1996 Kosman and his family announced the opening of a new financial organization to serve Wyo-Braska. Since that time he has served as Director, Chairman, President and CEO of the Platte Valley Companies financial and insurance organization in NE and WY. He has been recognized as a community leader, has held and continues to serve on numerous civic and community boards. He has been a resident of the Western Nebraska communities since 1949. Kosman is a graduate of the University of Nebraska in 1971 and did graduate work at Arizona State University. He also attended the Colorado Graduate School of Banking in 1978. On April 24, 1999 he received the Alumni Achievement Award from the Nebraska Alumni Association.

Donald F. Roth

Don Roth started his banking experience in 1971. He has worked in all areas of banking, to include: operations, lending and management. He is currently responsible for the management of all eight Platte Valley Bank locations in Nebraska and Wyoming. Roth has been very active in local community activities in the Scottsbluff-Gering area since 1971, having served on several civic and public boards, and continues to be very active in the community. His education includes a B.A. Degree in Business Administration from Chadron State College, and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Banking. Roth also served as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers, to include a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam.

Don Young

Don Young began his working experience as an independent businessman and corporate accountant after graduation from college with a business and finance degree. Since October of 1976 Don has been involved with several areas of lending. His greatest concentration of experience has been in extending all phases of agricultural operating credit, as well as agricultural mortgage lending. In addition to a Bachelor of Science Degree, Mr. Young has obtained more advanced informal education in intermediate accounting, auditing and has received accreditation for completing course work, which is offered by Robert Morris Associates.

He currently serves on the Goshen County Development Corporation and Eastern Wyoming College Foundation. He is an active member of the Torrington community, which includes membership in the Torrington Rotary Club. His banking experience includes commercial lending, ag lending and executive administration.

Hal Brethour attended grade school in Mitchell, Nebraska and entered the Navy in 1951 where he served four years. After that he attended Nebraska Western College, San Jose State in California, and later graduated from Kearney, Nebraska, with a Bachelors Degree in 1958 in Industrial Arts and Physical Education. He was a teacher and coach at Trenton, Nebraska, from 1956 to 1962. He received a Masters Degree from Northern Colorado State in 1961. He began a real estate career in 1964 and a construction career in 1967.
Awards include the Chamber of Commerce "Big Chief" Award in 2005, Realtor of the Year several times, Business Person of the Year, Jaycee's Man of the Year, and recognition for land donated for the community hospital. He served on the Wyoming Real Estate Commission for six years at the request of the Governor and is currently a member of the United Methodist Church, Rotary, VFW, and the American Legion.

Previously, he was CEO of International Education Corporate ( IEC ) for approximately two years and currently serves on their Board. Mathis also served as Vice President of three aviation schools located in Colorado, Texas and California for six months. The previous 23 years were spent with the Wyoming Technical Institute ( WTI ) in Laramie, WY in various capacities, and the most recent as President / CEO for four years. Community involvements include: Ex-officio member for WTI Foundation; Advisory Committee for Career College Association; was University of Wyoming Credit Union Board Member from 1987-1993.

He has been a board member and Chairman of Panhandle Coop Association, a board member of the Scotts Bluff County Volunteer Center, a board member of the Scotts Bluff County Planning and Zoning Commission, Scottsbluff Jaycees and a board member of the Northfield Retirement Communities. He stated his career in 1971 with the Kosman Banking Family, and retired from the P V Mortgage Company in 2000 after 29 years of banking.

Carl Rupp was born in Scottsbluff, NE, but has spent his entire lifetime in Wyoming. He currently operates the family farms located southeast of Torrington. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1970 with a degree in business administration and began his banking career in 1985 as a director of Tri-County Federal Savings and Loan in Torrington. He wa part of Tri-County's conversion from a mutual to a public company. In 2001 Tri-County Bank was sold to Platte Valley Companies, and Carl continued in an advisory position for two years after the sale. He was elected to the Platte Valley Bank-Torrington, WY Board in 2003. Carl is active in the community, currently serving on the Eastern Wyoming College Board of Trustees. He served many years on the Community Hospital Advisory Board and is a past president. Carl is active in the First Congregational Church, where he has served as moderator. The Rupp family started banking with the Kosman family in the 1920's.
